In August of last year, I talked about the theme “depression”, treating the subject from the perspective of an intimate, individual feeling, originating in a sad event, the loss of a loved one, a job and even a job. love.
However, nowadays, I see depression as a universal, collective feeling, originating from a frightening fact: the COVID 19 Pandemic. In this case, this feeling is shared by an immense number of people, who find themselves not knowing what to do to to "heal".
Being able to be strong, knowing how not to fall into this trap, which weakens us, limits our actions, takes away the will to go ahead and fight to preserve our personal and professional projects, I recognize, it is difficult.
However, as in the August 2020 article, I continue to struggle to seek to look to the future, even when it comes to something so frightening, but adding a few more paths, difficult but possible, even if it seems like a utopia: first believe that, vaccines, may decrease the rate of contamination and deaths.
And, walking in the same direction: the conscience of people who understand that doing their part is essential, following the guidance of science, that is, the use of masks, avoiding crowds, because leaving them to celebrate, play, is proof of intelligence, love your own life and that of other people, less selfishness, please.
If we can't kiss, hug, go to cinemas, theaters and parties, we can be supportive, meditate, create lives with fun themes, pray (prayer is a powerful tool for us to strengthen), laughing does a huge good for the soul, helping to needy people, through community groups, post messages of encouragement telling people that we will be able to overcome this sad situation.
In addition, to be grateful for being alive and, when sadness, despondency, fear, want to "embrace" us, reject these feelings, with the certainty that united believing in science and trusting professionals in the Health area, it will arrive the day, in we will be able to say: we won, because we believed and it was possible to win the Pandemic, as well as to "expel" from our lives, a terrible enemy, depression.
Together, aware and supportive, we are stronger.
