How not to fall into the trap of Depression?

Depression, as recommended by medicine, "is a serious psychiatric illness that presents recurrent symptoms of deep sadness, low self-esteem and prostration". However, I do not feel capable, nor do I want to go into the technical aspect of this problem, because, not being in the medical field, it would be unethical to do so. However, with a human being, a simple mortal, I often encounter people who are “caught” by this devastating disease. And I see how difficult it is to face and to overcome this “enemy” that causes so much harm.

My humble vision, leads me to say that we are going through a moment that has been contributing a lot to propitiate the spread of depression. Pandemic, which forces people to isolate themselves from the outside world in order to preserve their own lives and those around them, but even worse is the case of those who live alone, deprived of contact with friends, relatives, co-workers, to name a few examples.

And, as I see in the doctors' pronouncement, one of the ways to fight this evil, and try to fill the void, with social work, (when we help someone, we help ourselves, too), reading light content, trying to watch fun content films, playing video games, dramas, or thinking.

However, I believe that after the most critical period of this “cloud”, which has spread throughout the world, people will be able to overcome depression. As long as this situation lasts, I suggest a “medicine” that was used by a dear friend: meditation, prayer, unlimited faith, where doubt has no place, believing that GOD never leaves us, seeking to look around and be grateful for everything, in particular, for being alive and that nothing better than knowing that there is always a way out, a new path, however difficult it may seem.

The fact that I never forgot: a few years ago when I was attending dance classes, there was a group in the class, a group that always arrived accompanied by a super excited, communicative girl who, one day, said to me: “I am a psychiatrist, and I specialized in to treat people with depression disorder and, instead of prescribing medicines, I prescribe dance lessons, and I have been very successful, freeing them from this terrible "trap".

As you can see, there is always a way out, and even medicine, you can use creativity, as this doctor did, to achieve the joy of liberation.

Well, many will ask, how can the dance method be used, if attending a dance academy, is it out of the question? Put music that is your preference, whether in the living room, bedroom, balcony and wherever your imagination and, dance a lot, until tired, be bold enough to allow yourself to sing, shouting to the world, how you are getting rid of this "trap", called DEPRESSION.
